Claudia is a leadership coach. Using a blend of Gestalt, Group Relations Theory, Intentional Change Model and mindfulness practices, she helps clients develop a rich understanding of their strengths, attributes, and highly developed behaviors. With humor and compassion she helps them look at growth areas and underdeveloped competencies. From this shared understanding she and the client co-create a plan for the future.

Claudia is adept at helping overly busy, sometimes distracted clients slow down, take stock, develop situational awareness, and pay attention to their inner wisdom. She has been particularly good at recognizing and developing young talent and she has built internship and fellowship programs in numerous businesses and organizations.

Claudia is fascinated by group dynamics, interested in what hovers underneath the group system and how that affects an individual’s ability to be an effective leader. As with any good coach, she has spent significant time looking at the roles that she tends to take or be given in groups.  She has participated in numerous residential conferences in the Tavistock tradition, both in the U.S and in Europe, where she gained significant experience participating in and observing group behavior.

She recently completed an Executive Coaching program at the Teleos Leadership Institute which is recognized by the International Coaching Federation.  She is certified in Emotional Social Competency Inventory, a multi-rater tool designed to assess emotional and social intelligence competencies developed by Dr. Richard Boyatzis and Dr. Daniel Goleman.

Before entering the field of leadership coaching, Claudia spent fifteen years in public relations, marketing, corporate training, and arts administration.  With a strong background in public relations, Claudia has helped countless businesses, non-profits, universities and individuals craft and tell their unique stories to their target audiences.

She was the Associate Director and then soon thereafter the Director of Public Relations at Kelliher Samets Volk in Burlington, Vermont for nine years.  There, she helped clients such as the New England Culinary Institute get on The TODAY Show four times and Concept2, the rowing company, get publicity in magazines such as Forbes, Men’s Health and Boston Magazine.  Before moving to Vermont, Claudia worked at Cone Communications in Boston, helping ConAgra open Kids Clubs across the United States. She also directed Artsmart, a multi-media public awareness campaign in Chicago to keep the arts in the schools.

When she is not coaching, you may find her on her yoga mat, on the tennis court, meditating, cooking or dancing with her two little boys and husband.  She is deeply committed to social justice and spends much of her free time volunteering in the local schools.
